For the class evolutionary book club I read the book "The Greatest Show on Earth" by Richard Dawkins. This book is about the evidence he has found supporting the theory of evolution. He argues that all plants and animals can be traced back to a common ancestor and share a lot of the same DNA. One of his examples involves cabbages, cows, and dogs. He states that if you look and the strands of DNA, those three organisms are almost identical. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend that others read it as well. It really broadened my opinion on evolution and how incredible it really is. The fact that things can be so closely related but completely different really blew me away. Unfortunately I had to work on this project alone, so I can't post other peoples paragraphs and ideas as well as mine.
